Ma queste distanze sono nulla rispetto a quanto può essere quella tra i due puntini luminosi più vicini tra loro che sovrastano il nostro empireo. The Milky Way Show in Southern Italy. But these distances are nothing compared to what may be the one between the two luminous dots closest to each other that surpass our empire.

Walking a winter night in the highest peaks of the Pollino National Park, in the absence of the moon (22-23 / 02/17). The cold is bitter but the show is intense and fascinating. They are clearly visible from the tops of the two Manfriana; Serra Dolcedorme; Serra Ciavole and Serra Crispo but in the context of what most attracts attention is the glow of Venus that almost obscures the visibility of other nearby stars. you may also notice the Milky Way of the North and the Andromeda Galaxy. The clear sky allows us to see the stars up to the horizon line.

If I may say so myself - This is my best milky way shot by far! A lot thanks to the amazing dark skies of Tenerife ???? This island is sky, is mountain, is sea. It is the perfect location for night photography. Walking through the rock formations of El Teide national park is literally like walking on Mars (where I have never been btw... yet ????). This shot was taken in Las Minas with its reddish lava rocks and white ground made of pumice granules. It is incredible walking around there in pitch black.
