The maritime symbol of Tadoussac
The shoal takes its name from the Prince of Wales, whose ship ran aground on that spot in 1860, and the dangers of this location have long been legendary, particularly among navigators. There’s a confluence of strong currents. And the fog is so frequent that people joke about the presence of a fog factory there.
