Articolo scritto oggi di getto...spero che vi piaccia, lascio aperto il thread perche' vorrei che ogni possessore di 180mm postasse la foto della lente in suo possesso per arricchire l'articolo da me scritto e per coinvolgere un po' tutti quanti..
Per favore non postate le FOTO fatte col 180 ma solo le foto dei 180 .

I know both of these lenses receive great reviews for IQ (with some caveats on the 70-200 edges/corners). I have the 70-200 and it's FANTASTIC for my needs except size and weight for hiking and travel. Also, I tend to use it at the long end while hiking and traveling (shorter end for portraits). So I'm considering the 180, which is about 2/3 the length and almost 1/2 the weight.

Oh yes, and this is for D3 use. Before I get flamed for carrying a D3 and worrying about weight, I find that there is a big difference between camera weight (which sits flat against your body) and lens weight (which obviously sticks out or torques down and, to me, has a much bigger impact). I really don't notice the D3 body weight that much, but do notice the difference in lens weights. YMMV.

For those with experience with both, how does the IQ compare? I particularly like the color rendition, smooth tonal quality, and bokeh of the 70-200. Is the 180 comparable in these regards?
